How to stop killing your time

I often listen to people saying Time is Money, they value it like money. In this materialism world, we interpret things in the wrong way if you ask the same question to successful peoples they say Time is most important than anything else. Money is also important for survival.

You can preserve money for later but time can’t be preserved even a second. Once you kill time you can’t get the same moment again. Unfortunately, most people don’t value it and suffer the whole life. Everyone whether successful or failed people have the same 24 hours per day but what makes difference is their perspective towards life.

Strangely most people even don’t aware of how they kill hours per day. One of my known whenever we met always said nothing just doing timepass but if I asked him to do some work than he answered oh sorry I’m busy. He has many excuses even have no time for himself for doing excise, reading a book, mediation, etc.. He is living a miserable life and suffering for the last many years. That’s a common problem for all.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”                                                                                                                                                     -Steve Jobs

People often complain about a lack of time when a lack of direction is the real problem. If you get the right way to utilize your time you will have an edge to many others. Seriously do we need more time? Or do we need to be more disciplined with the time we have?

You have a choice of what you want from your life so invest your time wisely. For a better life, one must need to learn time management and organize the time for daily tasks. We lost few precious hours in doing unusable kinds of stuff like gossiping, watching television, spend many hours on social media.

You have a lot of sources to kill your time without getting aware of it. It’s all go in vain and you will be suffered your entire life. Time is a gift not take it granted and kill it. According to a survey a person spends a minimum average of 2-3 hours per day on social media or doing unnecessary things. If we calculate it 60-90 hours per month and 720-1080 hour per year which almost equals 40-45 days more than a month. This is what makes the difference a successful person use these days to learn new skills and improve oneself and grow his business.
“Until you value yourself, you won’t value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it.”                     -M. Scott Peck

For stopping killing your time you must learn and focus on time management skills that are very essential and helpful for you. I refer here some point you can consider:

Make your goals- If you have a goal in life and you are serious about it and working for that persistently, you will have no leisure to kill. Goals may be long term or short term. I recommend you to make short term goals on a daily basis, achieve them than go for the long term this makes your habit to win. This will change your perspective as well as your attitude towards yourself and life.

A powerful morning routine- This is the most effective and common habit in prominent personalities they all have a powerful morning routine; it will change your full day performance. “The 5 am club” by Robin Sharma is the best book to develop a great morning routine. He discusses 20/20/20 rule which is most effective. Wake up early morning, excise, meditation, read or listen good book and make your own full-day to-do-list. Prioritize your all tasks and save your energy for extra works.

Be a reader and observer- you can develop a habit of learning and learn a skill to observe things surrounding us. Whenever you have free time get a good book or audio podcasts form where you can learn a lot of great things.

Instead of kill time social media you can go outside and observe people, things and nature. Nature can teach us a great lesson but you need to develop understanding those signals of nature. Observe people’s life you want to be like. Once you understand this is very interesting and you can learn those experiences only by observing.

You have choice what you want from your life so invest your time wisely.
