Stop to trying to control your thoughts
Researchers show that the human mind has vast traffic of
thoughts, approximately 70,000 thoughts come in the human mind in a day. That’s an
average 3000 thoughts per hour and 50 thoughts per minute it’s interesting we
often have no idea about it. You may be surprised that approx 95%-98% of them
are exactly the same as we had the day before. Most of the thoughts are repetitive
which are already programmed in your subconscious mind. They depend on
lifestyle, prospective, working style, etc…
What is thought? In simple words whatever you talk with
yourself internally is a thought. One thought and new other one and one more,
make a chain of thoughts refer to as a thinking process.
“If you change your thought, you will change your entire
life or the world.”
Can we control our thoughts? You can control only a tiny part
of your thoughts which are running through your conscious mind. Thoughts come
and go, trying to control thoughts or stop them, are a waste of your energy and
time. If you understand and accept that you can’t control your thoughts, you
can focus on what you can do.
You can learn to aware of them and develop the skill of observing-mind. You can interrupt the cue (the state of initiating) that leads to conditional behavior and habitual action.

By practicing, you can become at observing as they came into
existence. You will realize there is a constant dialogue in your mind.
By observing them you can learn not to cling to them and make them mine. You can learn not to influence them and you can recognize them whether they are useful or not. Most of the thoughts are temporary they arise and pass, even though your mind tries to make you believe they are permanent (the state of anxiety or depression).
Let‘s take an example to relax and sit for 10 minutes, take a pen and paper and write down every thought you have. You cannot make it the entire 10 minutes. Your mind constantly going there is a chain of thoughts and you can’t hold a though for a long time.

You have to understand our mind automatically thinks about what
you are. It’s functioning of the mind. Unfortunately, people usually go through life
like on autopilot mode, under control of the mind. They even not aware of their
thoughts and emotions and refer it as a struggle of life: stress, anxiety, fear, worry,
failure, etc. Though you can’t control them you have no need to live on
auto-pilot mode. You can develop awareness, learn to observe.
